Accounts Payable Specialist - Highland, CA

Great Opportunity! Tribal Finance Department seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist.

JOB DUTIES:  Will support the department by processing accounts payable invoices and by maintaining financial records.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: • Verifies and analyzes invoices and purchase orders submitted from departments for accuracy, sales tax, general ledger coding, etc. • Investigates and reports any discrepancies found in matching vendor invoices with the department requisitions, purchase order and/or receiving report. • Inputs approved invoices and check requests from departments. • Prints and prepares checks for signatures. • Disburses checks. • Cancels and requests stop payment of accounts payable and manual checks when required. • Investigates any past due balances.• Responsible for bank deposits.
