Parts Room Attendant - South Gate, CA
Forging Aerospace company seeks Parts Room Order Clerk for the 1st shift and 3rd shift.
SUMMARY Processes parts requests made by supervisors or lead persons and generates requisitions from those quotes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. In performing functions, duties or tasks, employees are required to know and follow safe work practices, and to be aware of Company policies and procedures related to job safety, including safety rules and regulations. All functions, duties or tasks are to be carried out in an honest, ethical and professional manner, and to be performed in conformance with applicable Company policies and procedures. In the event of uncertainty or lack of knowledge of Company policies and procedures, employees are required to request clarification or explanations from superiors or authorized company representatives. Generates and processes requisitions created by the automatic ordering system. Contacts vendors to get accurate pricing and delivery information and applies appropriate tax and freight charges for those items requisitioned. Follows up on the back order list to ensure prompt delivery of parts. Follows up on repair of part orders. Generates bar code labels from the iMaint system. Carries out Parts Room Attendant duties and other departments duties as directed.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
