General Office Clerk - Costa Mesa, CA

Large Manufacturing company seeks General Office Clerk.

Job Summary:

Under general supervision, performs varied office support assignments including typing, receptionist work, and complex record keeping; and performs other related duties as assigned. Bi-lingual in English/Spanish preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Types, completes, and files a variety of departmental documents including letters, forms, shipping and receiving records, purchasing requisitions, and departmental activity reports.

Responds to questions concerning departmental and company policies and procedures and the proper completion of office forms.

Operates standard office equipment with speed and accuracy such as computer, calculators, photocopiers and facsimile equipment.

Assists with shipping to outlying offices and outside customers.

Adds, prints, kits, and maintains work orders.

Runs scrap reports and moves parts into stock.

Prepares documents for outside services.

Requests office supplies as needed.

Answers and transfers telephone calls, takes messages, and interacts with customers;

Coordinates pattern movement per customer request.

Regular punctuality, attendance, and absence reporting in conformance with company policies is essential to the successful performance of this position.

Fully comply with company rules, policies, procedures, and safety guidelines to ensure safe and effective operations.

 QUALIFICATIONS GUIDELINES:

Any combination equivalent of, but not limited to, the following:

Experience/Training/Education:

Experience involving general clerical and office support functions, including data entry, typing, and receptionist work; and equivalent to high school graduation.
