Supply Chain Manager - Marlborough, MA

The person in this position will play a major role in the success of the Operations Team.  The qualified candidate will assume the appropriate Manager/Director title based upon experience and qualifications.  He/she will be responsible for managing all Supply Chain functions including production scheduling, capacity review, material usage and purchasing, and inventory control. Will utilize ERP functionality and demand forecasting models to ensure on-time availability of all manufacturing supplies and components, also driving the initiative to significantly improve physical inventory management practices and accuracy.  The Supply Chain Manager will define and supervise the tasks and activities of the Supply Chain Team.  Position interfaces regularly with representatives of Manufacturing, Quality, and Finance.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following -

• Enhancing current and/or developing an updated Supply Chain strategy to support company growth plans
• Utilizing Epicor ERP system to manage the following:
o Parts status and inventory accuracy
o Manufacturing activities
o Resource planning
o Bills of Material and costing information
• Monitoring and approving purchase requisitions for Inventory replenishment as needed and gaining additional spending approvals as required
• Monitoring open Purchase Orders and Stock Status reports and expediting order fulfillment to ensure on time delivery
• In partnership with Manufacturing Team, scheduling and releasing work orders
• Maintaining strong relationships and communications with European warehousing and distribution partners, critical component suppliers, and internal/external commercial teams to support inventory replenishment needs, international supply shipments, and special projects as necessary to assure 100% Customer Service
• Leading the internal initiative to implement and maintain an effective and accurate physical inventory system, including ERP transaction accuracy, physical inventory events, and cycle counting as appropriate
• Other projects, assignments, and duties as required

 Core Competencies

• Proven experience building/managing a Supply Chain organization with a strong leadership track record and thorough understanding of Operations practices
• Solid knowledge of Supply Chain and Materials Management fundamentals
• Ability to prioritize departmental activities set effective (SMART) goals and objectives in line with overall corporate strategy
• Display willingness to make difficult decisions and include appropriate personnel in decision-making process; exhibit sound and accurate judgment
• Ability to forge positive relationships and communicate effectively with all levels of management and with all departments
• Show initiative by undertaking self-development activities, seeking increased responsibilities, and taking advantage of learning opportunities

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, preferably in Business or a Supply Chain related field
• Minimum five to seven years of Supply Chain management experience in Medical Device industry
• Association membership (APICS or other) preferred
• Strong ERP system experience
• Familiar with working in a regulated industry
• Strong analytical, planning and organizational skills
• Must speak and understand English proficiently
