Quality Assurance Associate - Lafayette, LA

Advantage Resourcing is recruiting for a Quality Assurance Associate for a manufacturing company in Lafayette.

This position is primarily focused on analytical data review, manufacturing records, and the use of data to determine the quality status of materials for manufacturing and that of products manufactured at this Lafayette plant.  Other roles include laboratory and production investigation support and support to the Quality Unit by engagement of Quality Systems of the department.

Job duties:

  • Review and approve analytical laboratory data and documentation
  • Review and approve production documentation
  • Review equipment cleaning, calibration, and use records
  • Assign status to raw materials, bulk products, and consumer products
  • Review published production schedules and ensure status of raw material needs
  • Lead established reanalysis program to recover inventory items
  • Control the vendor qualification program to ensure that no materials are purchased from unapproved manufacturers/suppliers
  • Assist with design and monitoring of stability studies
  • Prepare protocols and reports
  • Collect and summarize analysis and production data
  • Monitor plant environmental data
  • Create rework/reprocessing plans for approval
  • Assist in leading Kaizen events of production issues/deviations and laboratory OOS investigations
  • Complete assigned action items according to the established CAPA program
  • Write and prepare quality and manufacturing SOPs and related documents according to cGMPs
  • Review and approve departmental operating procedures
  • Assist in customer and FDA audits as needed
  • Conduct Internal Audits as assigned
  • Write and prepare Annual Product Reviews

Candidates should have the following:

  • B.S. in chemistry or other science curriculum
  • 2-3 years of manufacturing or laboratory experience required
  • Knowledge of cGMPs preferred, ISO experience helpful
  • Willingness to work in manufacturing setting in Lafayette, LA
  • Ability to communicate well with others orally and in writing
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail and work independently
  • Ability to plan and organize multiple responsibilities simultaneously and prioritize requirements while managing available resources
  • Computer skills including basic level in Microsoft® Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Must pass background check, pre-employment physical, and drug screen.

Position will pay $15-20/hr. DOE.
