Electrical Foreman - New Iberia, LA

The Electrical Foreman directs all activities in the installation, modification and repair of electrical equipment, hardware, instruments and PLC programming and troubleshooting. Responsibilities: • Must have experience working in underground mine where temperatures range from 78° to 100°F. In accordance with abilities of individuals, assigns subordinates to tasks each day. • Monitors work in progress, provides direction where needed and evaluates finished work of electricians. • Performs periodic inspections of plant electrical equipment and schedules maintenance where needed. • Continually trains and upgrades electricians, ensuring that each is trained in trade skills, safety procedures, plant policies, etc. • Provides supervision in other Maintenance areas as needed. • Designs new electrical installations and troubleshoots more complicated systems. • Through continued monitoring of plant electrical equipment, minimizes unplanned interruptions due to electrical equipment failure. • Ensures that electricians are assigned and at work promptly at the start of each shift. • Ensures that all jobs are handled promptly, that proper materials are used and that each is reviewed thoroughly upon completion. • Incident rate improvement each year and compliance with Federal, State and Company safety regulations.


Must have strong background dealing with the repair and operation of breakers, controls., switches, PLC’s and other electrical equipment.  In addition, must be able to schedule, supervise and evaluate subordinates.
