Maintenance Mechanic - Putnam, CT
Manufacturing Mechanic is a very hands-on position that is responsible for performing highly diversified duties such as Troubleshoot, Automate, Maintain and Rebuild Production Equipment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
•Program, trouble shoot and install AC & DC drives, temperature controllers as well as many other types of controllers.
•Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
•Troubleshoot and view programs to PLC’s.
•Perform Preventive Maintenance.
•Disassemble and reassemble equipment for the purpose of rebuilding.
•Initiate purchase orders.
•Write work instructions.
•Be on call 24/7 for emergency break downs rotating with other Maintenance Personnel.
•Create electrical and mechanical drawings.
•Design and build control panels.
•Intermediate computer skills are required.
•Excellent electrical, electronic, and mechanical skills.
•Experience with Auto Cad or similar program.
•Knowledge of NEC, NFPA79, OSHA Regulations.
Education and/or Experience
•Prior experience with GDP, cGMP, ISO 9000 and ISO 13485 are preferred.
•A minimum of 5 to 10 years’ experience in medical device manufacturing is preferred.
Above average knowledge of mathematics required add, subtract, multiply and divide. Ability to apply mathematical concepts of probability and statistical inference, algebra and geometry to practical situation. Reasoning ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Must be able to stand on feet or potentially stay in awkward positions while working for periods of time. The employee will be expected to lift or move 50 lbs unassisted.
