Quality Engineer – Supporting Mission Critical Military Vehicle Upgrade program. This program will upgrade the vehicles our troops use daily in combat environments. Key duties: process audits, monitoring and tracking inspection results using appropriate statistical methods, resolve quality issues
- Participate in Management Review Board (MRB) activities to resolve quality non-conformances affecting capability, dimensional, and material related issues.
- Six-Sigma Green Belt preferred
- Be familiar with creating statistical charts, evaluating the results to continually improve the affected processes.
- Have general understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
Performing process audits, monitoring and tracking inspection results using appropriate statistical methods, resolve quality issues, and inspections to verify compliance with design, MFG, and quality requirements.
Develop/follow engineering drawings, ERRs, Mfg assembly drawings and process sheets.
Participate in Management Review Board (MRB) activities to resolve quality non-conformances affecting capability, dimensional, and material related issues.
Develop, and comply with plant level Quality Management System (ISO 9001:2008) requirements.
Identify/document nonconforming material IAW plant procedures (Red Tags, Inspection Sheets).
Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing or Quality Engineering or Technical discipline required.
Requires knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical systems related to Military vehicles.
ILS (Integrated Logistics) cost plus/firm fixed price contracts
Scheduling tools and critical path analysis/Six-Sigma Green Belt preferred
Statistical charts/analysis evaluating the results to continually improve the affected processes.
Must be familiar with vehicle systems including hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic and mechanical.
Must be able to work in a heavy fabrication industrial environment
