Maintenance Supervisor

Job Summary: Responsible for the maintenance of available equipment and tools to ensure production capabilities. Properly supervise additional personnel assigned to maintenance department as required. Support all factory production operations to include maintaining new equipment and upgrading existing equipment and facilities in accordance to OSHA Safety and local, State, and Federal environmental regulations. Also, responsible for chemical waste stream management, and use and disposal of materials coming in to and leaving the Plant.

Responsibilities:

Monitor production equipment to ensure continued process capability.

Determine maintenance requirements for machinery and equipment and perform required PM.

Maintain inventory or maintenance supplies to ensure continuing process capability.

Monitor equipment for adherence to safety and environmental policies.

Support and enforce all company policies and procedures.

Document all maintenance performed to adhere to ISO guidelines.

Preventative maintenance responsibilities on all equipment

Maintain a safe and clean work environment by educating and leading team members on the use 5S, equipment, and resources;

Coach team members to ensure all environmental health safety polices are followed

Oversee the maintenance of plant equipment

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

Technical degree preferred.

REQUIRED YEARS OF EXPERIENCE/SKILLS: 

Minimum of 5 years of experience in Industrial Maintenance required with strong supervisory skills. Additionally 2-3 years of experience in Maintenance leadership role strongly preferred. 

 

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

Strong Industrial Mechanical background troubleshooting and repair

Strong Industrial Electrical background troubleshooting and repair

Strong Communication and Organizational skills 

Experience scheduling preventative maintenance

Basic knowledge of machine maintenance practices

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Walking, lifting up to 40 lbs., bending and squatting 

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Standard machine shop conditions, possible hot, dirty, noisy conditions
