Location: Charlotte NC    OR     Minneapolis MN (onsite roles)

Duties and Responsibilities: 
This DevOps consultant will deploy and administer AppDynamics, an Application Performance Management (APM) tool for application residing in both public and private cloud environments. 
The ideal candidate can work with business partners in installations, troubleshooting problems, identifying resolutions and assessing situations in real time in UNIX, Linux and windows platforms. 
Our team is empowered to keep fast facing transformational support for our business partners. 
Essential Education, Experience and Skills: 
Technical BS degree or equivalent in Information Systems, Analytics, Computer Science. 
5 years of experience in general datacenter tiered infrastructure technologies and/or knowledge of public cloud offerings including CloudFoundry and Microsoft Azure in enterprise software environment. 
Strong DevOps culture in managing quite complex application issues and slow performance bottle necks in a sensitive client-facing environments in financial services experience. 
Experience with deploying, managing, maintaining application performance management technologies and techniques to applications residing in public or private cloud. 
Client server configurations and integrations using vendor products and third party software. 
Commitment, flexibility and desire to place customer satisfaction in Information Technology focusing on services and product monitoring. 
Knowledge with software development life cycles, design and tuning of technology systems to support continuous production support delivery to ensure they provide business benefit. 
Constantly think to improve collaboration during application support operations in real time and virtual war rooms with best communication skills including written and verbal. 
Hands on knowledge with Application Performance Management (APM) tools such as AppDynamics, Dynatrace, CA Introscope, Quest Foglight 
Specialized Knowledge: 
Business knowledge of complex heterogeneous multi-tier business technology applications trouble shooting on Unix/Windows systems. 
Experience in several of the following technologies: 
o OS: Unix, Linux, Windows 
o Scripting to automate monitoring agents on unix and windows servers (Bash, Shell, Power shell) 
o Web/Application Servers: Apache, SunOne/iPlanet, IIS/.NET, Tomcat, Weblogic, Websphere, JBoss 
o Databases: Oracle, SQL Server, DB2 
o Message Bus: Tibco EMS & BusinessWorks, IBM MessageBroker & MQ 
o Network: TCP/IP, span port and/or network tap configuration 
o Other: Big data, Analytics, Microsoft Azure, CloudFoundry, other Cloud Based PaaS (Platform as a Service) platforms, PaaS and DbaaS deployments over IaaS deployments including conversion of IaaS deployments to PaaS 
Proven hands-on experience to support independent of software products in UNIX, Linux, and Windows server environments to troubleshoot application usage patterns and user journeys in most complex environments. 
Specialized in monitoring tools real time data to support application software integration process and support with the documentation of procedures as needed. 
Utilizes troubleshooting techniques to determine problem root cause, an advantage 
Familiarity with Web application deployment and administration process, an advantage 
Knowledge with common Java web application architecture frameworks, distribution mechanisms and messaging components such as servlets, struts, Spring, EJB, web services, RMI, JMS, MQ-Series, etc. an advantage 
Knowledge with common .NET web application architecture frameworks, distribution mechanisms and messaging components such as ASP.NET, ASMX, WCF, MSMQ, etc. an advantage 
This is NOT a developer role, though understanding and abilities gained through development experience, an advantage
