General Purpose: 

The Asset Engineer is responsible for providing technical support to insure that the NGL terminals, and storage facilities are operated safely, efficiently and reliably. This support includes process simulation modeling, scope, design, cost estimates, bidding, installation and management of small projects at their assigned facilities. Continuous performance monitoring and improvement are key roles in this position. As an experienced Principal Engineer there is also the expectation that the individual will assist in the Training and Development of our less experienced Engineers. 

Essential Functions: 
Insure that Safety is always a high priority. Log Safety Observations and support Operations Safety programs. Participate in PHA’s and Incident Investigations. 
Building and maintaining various process simulations for your assigned facilities 
Trouble shooting process problems in any of the systems at your facilities. Perform Root Cause analysis for complex issues. 
Monitoring the performance of the facilities assigned to you. Insure logging of all Loss Volume occurrances. Work with the Reliability Engineer to develop projects to prevent reoccurance. 
Working with the Operators and supervision at your assigned facilities to improve efficiency, reliability and increase overall performance. 
Providing technical support for the Process Safety Management of your facilities 
Project Management - Scoping, design, cost estimates, bidding, contractor selection, installation and management of small projects. 
Assisting other Engineers with their projects as necessary and helping them trouble shoot system issues.  
Investigate and seek out new technology and opportunities for advancing the overall performance. 
Build relationships with other departments to insure broad communications during project development. 
Participate and provide input to the annual O&M Capital Budget. 

Scope of Responsibilities: 
This position has no financial or budgetary expenditure authorities and must obtain management approval for any expenditure 
This position is an advisor to Operations, Measurement, Reliability, Environmental, Safety/PSM and Commercial 
Overnight travel will occasionally be required 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 
Process simulation skills on Promax and Hysys or other similar software packages 
Competent in all Microsoft Office tools and willing to learn to use scheduling software 
Great people skills and ready to work with lots of kinds of people 
Demonstrated high level of performance 

Bachelors in Engineer - preferably Mechanical and/or Chemical. Advanced education desirable 
15+ years of experience in Natural Gas & NGL Conditioning, treatment, processing and compression. 
Previous experience with operating facilities 
Ability to enter confined and declassified spaces 
PMP Certification a plus
