Cloud Security Engineer (Azure) - Wilton, CT

Job Description:

  • Full-Time Permanent Opportunity with a Growing  Boutique Software Firm in the Financial Service sector.

  • Partner with the CTO, Lead Architect, and software development team for the design, implementation, deployment, and monitoring of cloud based infrastructure and hosted applications
  • Implement and support solutions to facilitate monitoring and diagnostics of cloud based infrastructure in partnership with internal system operations and NOC teams
  • Engineer, implement and monitor security measures under the guidance of the CSO for the protection of internal and cloud based computer systems, networks and information
  • Write comprehensive reports including assessment-based findings, outcomes and propositions for further system security enhancement

 

Requirements

  • Proven work experience as a cloud engineer (preferably Azure but will consider candidates with strong experience with AWS)
  • Expertise in Cloud Security best practices and use of firewalls, encryption, AD, Federated AD, SAML
  • Working technical knowledge of database and operating system security
  • Understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols
  • Strong familiarity with web related technologies (Web applications, Web Services, Service Oriented Architectures) and of network/web related protocols
  • Problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with business and technology stakeholders

 

Preferred Skills

  • Experience building and maintaining security systems
  • Experience with automation scripting and Continuous Integration
