Advantage Resourcing is seeking a Test Engineer to work on a 12+ month project in Anoka, MN.  Candidates should have experience with Web and API Testing (UFT/Specflow/ API Testing, Agile, QA Process). 


Job description:

·       Work with Project team, business and product management to design, develop, review and execution of test plan, test scripts, test cases and provide input for test strategy.

·       Perform simple to complex test data conditioning, functional, Integration & regression test validations & defect management using various testing tools.

·       Collaborate with Agile team and provide input for product backlog, sprint planning, development, demo and retrospective.

·       Create and execute automated test scripts and provide input to enhance automation framework.

·       Create Test strategy and provide inputs for development methodology.

·       Assign testing tasks and Guide less experienced Analysts.

·       Provide input to define strategies, process, best practices & methodologies using various testing techniques & tools to bring efficiency in testing.

·       Perform other duties as assigned.


Required Skills:

·       5+ years of experience in software testing, with 3+ years of experience in UFT/selenium automation

·       Strong sense of self-motivation, organizing, strong analytical skills and attention to details

·       Strong working experience in UFT/Selenium 2(web driver)

·       Object Oriented programming – class structure, code re-use, abstract thinking/Page object model

·       Hands-on experience in writing complex SQL queries and VB/Java scripting/programing experience

·       Experience in Junit/TestNG

·       Thorough understanding of QA methodologies, QA tools and Agile principles

·       Manual QA concepts like laying out a scenario into design steps (linear thinking)


Preferred Skills:

·       Technical and good team player

·       Experience in an Agile environment/Behavior driven Development testing

·       Self-motivated  and comfortable working with a team or independently

·       Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate through communication skill
