Position : Data/ QA Analyst
Location : Washington DC
Duration : 5 months with possible extension
Requirement : US Citizens / GC / EAD / W2 only / No C2C
****nights and weekends will be required ~2week prior to the elections (11/6)****
The candidate in this role will be responsible for verifying the accuracy and quality of partner data, identifying opportunities to improve data QA processes, and triaging user feedback.
The role requires close interaction with internal Engineering, Product, and Business Development teams, as well as third party data providers.
-Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and overall quality of partner data, especially polling locations and early voting locations/hours, in order to ensure timely product launches
-Execute manual (online or offline) QA checks on partner data
-Compile, analyze, and report QA issues and trends to internal and external stakeholders, summarizing progress toward launch goals
-Triage incoming feedback or error reports to diagnose, reproduce, and resolve issues reported by Google’s users
- Guiding team of junior analysts and help with the team structure
BA/BS degree in any field, Political Science degree is nice to have. However we will consider people despite of degree.
5+ years of experience in relevant field
Strong research, problem solving, and troubleshooting abilities
Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
Top-notch verbal and written communication skills
Independent worker who can prioritize between competing, time-sensitive tasks and context-switch effectively
Experience working in the areas of politics or government, especially with electoral and civic data, strongly preferred
Availability to work extended business hours or weekends occasionally
Past experience leading a team or strong leadership skills.
