Competitive Pay
12 month contract (possible conversion) 

The Material Planner will plan and coordinate all of the raw material and contract manufactured materials necessary to support the production operations at Fremont.
The Planner will develop plans for procured materials based on production plans developed in the S&OP process and through tactical production planning. The Planner will develop and represent the key raw material plans as part of the S&OP process. The Planner will coordinate with Purchasing, the Production Planner, and Operations team to ensure the timely flow of raw materials to the site.

Key Responsibilities
Sales and Operations Planning
Develop long range material supply plans for key raw materials to support production plan; update each month for Supply Meetings in the Supply Planning sheets
Update S&OP plan with confirmed supply plan each month
Maintain parameter information for material planning (lead times, batch sizes, yield factors) in Supply Planning sheets
Material Planning
Develop and maintain material plans to support production plans for Fremont
Enter purchase requisitions for all raw materials in support of the material plan
Maintain purchase orders with updated receipt dates based on latest status
Manage supply from 3rd party raw material providers and contract manufacturers
Work with Procurement to manage supplier relationships
Communicate with suppliers and contract manufacturers on a consistent basis to maintain status information on inbound supply, to share future material requirements, and to coordinate asset transfers
Coordinate with Production Planner, Asset Manager, and Operations to provide canisters in alignment with material plan
Process Improvement
Develop and maintain procedures related to material planning process
Develop planning models to support effective material planning
Support development and implementation of improved planning systems (MRP, APS)
Work with Production Planner to cross train and develop backup coverage for each other
Successfully completes all required training

Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in supply chain management, business or a related field
3 years + of relevant experience in supply chain management including supply chain planning
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated influencing skills to work cross functionally in a matrix environment
Experience using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
Experience using Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system
Demonstrated proficiency in using Microsoft office applications including Outlook, Word and Excel
Demonstrated analytical and problem solving capability
Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in chemicals industry
Experience in or supporting the electronics industry
APICS certification
Strong ERP system experience
Experience with Advanced Planning and Scheduling (APS) solutions
