Position : Accountant
Location : Sunnyvale CA
Duration : 4 months with possible extension.

As a member of this team, you know your accounting principles and the full accounting process end to end.

You'll advise on financial reports required by governmental regulations, and you'll review, analyze, and interpret financial and budgetary reports -- and all this sounds like fun to you.

BA/BS in Accounting or Finance.

In lieu of degree, 5 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting.

Pure accountant background with a minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience that know. 

3+ years Experience with Oracle 11i or R12 and SAP

Preferred Qualifications:

2+ years experience with Essbase/Hyperion, HFM products with the ability to create templates with different dimension.

Ability to create allocation template, manually calculate translation and revaluation knowledge..

Experience working with cross functional teams, multitasking and managing time independently with little direction.

Advanced knowledge of spreadsheet applications; exceptional problem-solving, organizational, analytical, and documentation skills.

Understanding of financial close cycle and best practices; experience consolidating financial statements and strong communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skill.

Must be flexible to work overtime as needed, especially during quarter and year end; ability to analyze and resolve moderately complex problems and think out of the box.

Support and maintain Oracle applications including the maintenance of metadata, rules, allocation, revaluation and translation; management and execution on revaluation, translation, open/close periods, uploading subledgers to general ledger, allocations, consolidation and feeds to other systems such as Essbase, HFM and DRM.

Point person for the resolution of all Oracle issues, subledger to general ledger errors, errors in posting, cross validation questions, requests for oracle maintenance.

Ensure all global issues are resolved in a timely manner, liaise with IT for the resolution of all oracle issues and perform user acceptance testing for all updates and changes to Oracle system.

Manage financial close within the system and report consolidated results in a timely and accurate manner, identify and drive system improvements, ad hoc and special projects as assigned or required.

Interact with external auditors on complex accounting issues.
