Position Description 
Seeking an experienced Java Programmer to join our team of talented, diverse individuals to help develop the next generation of production printing products. For this software development role, the Java programmer leads and works with a small local and global development team to design, develop and support customized programs built in a Linux environment to aid in the development of printer control units for enterprise-class high speed production print hardware. The programmer is involved in all phases of the software development process, including planning, design, implementation, test, technical documentation, and ongoing program support. The team is frequently challenged to break new ground in automation development that supports cutting edge technology. 

LOCATION:  Boulder, CO 80301
STATUS:       Contract to Direct
RATE:           $44.57/hr 

The candidate should have team leadership competencies to lead a small development team in prioritizing, implementing and successfully delivering automated solutions that significantly improve the productivity of the Development and QA groups. The candidate should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and should have a strong interest in researching new concepts and implementing innovative solutions that significantly improve code quality. 

3+ years Java Programming industry experience - Software development experience in Linux OS environment required.
Team leadership skills, team leadership experience. Excellent collaboration, communication, and teaming skills with local and global teams.
Experience with Software development repositories and bug tracking utilities.

Proficiency in other programming languages such as: C++, C#, Shell Script, NodeJS, Python or similar. 
Experience with GUI development Tools (Java, Adobe Flex, HTML5)
Experience with
Experience with MSVC - Knowledge of databases (PostgreSQL, SQL, MongoDB)
Understanding of print data streams (PDF, PS, IPDS, PCL, etc.)
Understanding of Digital image data formats (TIF, JPEG, GIF, etc.)

BS Degree in engineering with experience specific to the engineering discipline.
Must have professional and in-depth knowledge of software development, system/product design, and integration; typically acquired via significant professional experience. 
3+ years of Java Programming experience, and software development experience in Linux OS environment required.
