Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics or Mechatronics Engineering or Computer Science 
  • 8+ Years of experience in automotive embedded software development and validations. 
  • 5+ Years of experience in commissioning and validation support of dSPACE /NI HIL simulators 
  • 5+ Years of experience in OEM Diagnostics Engineering tools and software downloads. 
  • 5+ Years of experience in software development life cycle -CMMI and agile process experience. 
  • 5+ years of experience utilizing software testing or quality assurance methodologies 
  • 5+ years of experience implementing software configuration management 
  • 3+ Years of experience in dSPACE control and automation desk software. 
  • 3+ Years of experience in ADAS/DAT feature testing support 
  • 2+ years of experience in software development with compiled and interpreted languages including C++, Python, visual basic and Matlab and their corresponding integrated development environments (IDEs). E.g. MS Visual Studio, Simulink 
  • 2+ Years of Experience in embedded controller networks (CAN, LIN) and the use of ECU diagnostic and network communication tools to verify and troubleshoot distributed vehicle systems (e.g. CANoe, CANalyzer, )

Skills Required:
  • Effective communication: Clear and concise spoken and written communication skills are critical for this position since the engineer is responsible for gathering engineering requirements, negotiating during tradeoff analysis and documenting testing solutions 
  • Project management skills, well organized, and able to manage multiple tasks: The engineer needs to work on multiple interrelated projects but with different and sometimes conflicting requirements 
  • Interpersonal skills (Networking, negotiation, and tolerance): Required to work with cross functional, multiregional, internal and external teams that can have different priorities 
  • Ability to manage urgent situations and manage priorities 
  • Tolerance to ambiguity and dealing with complex engineering problems 
  • Ability to make decisions with minimal supervision and limited information

Experience Preferred:
  • Master’s degree in Engineering or Business applications 
  • Experience in development and execution of functional test procedures within a software or vehicle testing organization 
  • Experience in bench testing of distributed electrical systems (Electrical System Engineering) including bench functional integration, test execution, measuring and instrumentation, incident reporting and root cause analysis 
  • Experience in electrical schematics for vehicle components and systems and electrical architectures of distributed systems 
  • Experience with development and verification of embedded software using hardware in the loop equipment and software (E.g. dSpace, National Instruments) 
  • Experience in test automation collaboration with Germany team

Education Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics or Mechatronics Engineering or Computer Science

Education Preferred:
Master’s degree in Engineering or Business applications
