More than 10 Years of applicable experience with an Engineering degree.
More than 5 years of applicable experience programming microcontrollers (NXP preferred)
Developing NXP microcontroller software using S32K Design Studio IDE to interface with motor drivers, positional sensors, and other sensors using SPI, I2C, SPI like interfaces, EIA-422/485, and other serial interfaces
Design Control Systems for small motors used to control actuators with positional and/or encoder feedback.
Develop Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs) using Visual Studio for engineering testing applications and simulations.
Support circuit card and/or electronic designs including component selection, procurement, and oversight of hardware/software build.
Support concept to production including architecture analysis, trade studies, requirements analysis, engineering reviews, design, test, and qualification.
Support circuit board specifications, ICD's, and test plans.
Review and develop hardware and software requirement documents and test plans.
Design utilizing high and low speed digital communications standards such as: EIA-422/482, EIA-232, USB, SPI, I2C, CAN, TCP/IP, SPI like interfaces, and other serial interfaces.
Design, develop, and test electronics, components, and subsystems in support of integration of thermal imaging systems, cameras, lasers, radar, direct view optics, and stabilized control systems.
Support the integration & testing of electrical control devices and sights and sensors on the various vehicle platforms.
Work with other members of the engineering staff to ensure the product meets its requirements.
Prepare and present written reports, status reports, and presentations as necessary.
Provide technical support and communication to the GDLS program office, GDLS customers, and other departments within GDLS.
Experience with NXP Microcontrollers preferred S32K series
Experience with NXP S32K Design Studio IDE
Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio 2013 or later
Experience with C /C# programming language
Experience with interfacing with EIA-422/482, EIA-232, USB, SPI, I2C, CAN, TCP/IP, SPI like interfaces, and other serial interfaces
Experience with Control Systems for small motors used to control actuators with positional and/or encoder feedback using a microcontroller
Experience with analog and digital circuit design
Experience with Analog and Digital Video Circuits (RS-170, HD-SDI, LVDS, DVI, DisplayPort) preferred
Experience with video distribution techniques preferred
Experience with Gigabit/10 Gig Ethernet, GigEVision, and Ethernet AVB preferred
Familiarity with Military Standards and test requirements
