Job Location: York, PA
Hourly Rate: $55.50/hr
Length of Assignment: 1 year+
Job Summary:

  • We currently have an opening in York, PA for a Principal Maintainability Engineer to work on a Military Vehicle Program.
Job Description:
  • Identifies and defines Line Replaceable Units/Modules or Shop Replaceable Units for which analysis needs to be performed. 
  • Calculates Maintenance Ratio, Mean Time To Repair and Max Time To Repair. (Experience with SLICwave is desired.) 
  • Performs Level of Repair Analysis as required to determine the most cost effective alternatives for performing maintenance tasks over the life of the end item or equipment. (Experience with EDCAS is desired.) 
  • Performs maintenance task analysis, defining maintenance task steps, equipment, tools, times and personnel requirements. (Experience with SLICwave is desired.)
  • Recommends changes to designs based on analysis performed to improve the supportability and life cycle cost of the system. 
  • Performs technical analysis, calculations and evaluation of results to solve complex engineering problems by creating or using computer programs, models or simulations.
  • Prepares and presents project technical results, recommendations and solutions to internal and external customers. 
  • Develops and writes technical documentation, makes revisions to existing documentation and provides input to technical papers or presentations. 
Skills Required:
  • Identify Line Replaceable Units (LRU) / Line Replaceable Modules (LRM) or Shop Replaceable Units (SRU)
  • Calculate Maintenance Ratio, Mean Time To Repair (MTTR) and Max Time To Repair 
  • Perform Level of Repair Analysis (LORA) 
  • Perform maintenance task analysis (MTA)
  • Understand designs and can provide design influence 
Experience Required:
  • B.S. degree in a relevant technical discipline with 6 years relevant experience; or an M.S. degree with 4 years relevant experience; or a Ph.D. in a relevant technical discipline with 2 years relevant experience.
