Solution Architecture - Warren, MI

Job Description:

  • Solution Architect will be responsible for understanding business requirements and objectives, while defining technical architectures that align with, standards and reference architectures. 
  • The key resource will actively participate in stand-up meeting and will ensure delivery teams. 
  • Solution Architect will provide leadership and guidance around the overall solution/s definition and application architecture supporting Product Driven Organizations (PDO) teams. 
  • Candidates should have working knowledge around the following competencies. Additionally resources should have the ability to articulate the effect of technology on business. 
  • Exceptional communication skills (both verbal and written). 
  • Ability to work closely with application developers ensuring business goals are achieved. 
  • Experienced in Architecture governance processes and conducting Architecture reviews and evaluations. 
  • Proven ability to rapidly learn, evaluate, and integrate new and existing technologies to realize business value.

Skills Required:
  • Full application / System development lifecycle knowledge and experience 
  • Expertise in interoperability standards and methods 
  • Expertise with Service 
  • Oriented Architecture (SOA) methods and implementation technologies such as web services. 
  • Outstanding and proven leadership skills in working with senior-level management helping in decision making 
  • Knowledge of frameworks architecture patters and reference architectures .
  • Previous experience as lead architect on multiple large scale product or enterpriser initiatives, preferred. 
  • Support the application teams in the development of technical designs and documentation 
  • Provides support such as troubleshooting to application performance issues 
  • Participate in vendor solution evaluation process 
  • Lead/Participate in Proof of Concept efforts or experiments with the Product Definition space 
  • Demonstrate ability to work on multiple projects efforts simultaneously.

Experience Preferred:
  • Candidates will need to possess solid communications skills both written and verbal should be a self-starter and will ultimately gain mastery around the following. 
  • Knowledge of product teams and their responsibility for implementing strategy, feature definition, and overall architecture direction. 
  • Experience / Knowledge with Web Sphere/J2EE and OEM's build tools. 
  • Experience / Knowledge with OS virtualization, Linux and Windows operating systems. 
  • Experience / Knowledge with GSS, ACE/F5 load balancing solutions. 
  • Good understanding of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery models. 
  • Familiarity with code repository and build deployment tools (i.e. GitHub , Jenkins) 
  • Familiar Ford Agile Framework, Rally and other backlog management solutions. Candidates should have solid working knowledge around the following.

  • Good understanding of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery models 
  • Familiarity with Jenkins and GitHub 
  • Familiar OEM Agile Framework 
  • Strong architecture knowledge with experience in providing technical solutions for projects. 
  • Excellent problem solving skills including leading problem solving teams. 
  • Self-Starter, ability to work independently but still can work within group to deliver top-notch solutions. 
  • Self-researches, ability to research a technology and provide insight to project team.

Education Required:
B.S. Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent work experience in the requested field
