Business Analyst 

Position Description 
Acts as a liaison between client area and technical organization by planning, conducting, and directing the analysis of highly complex business problems to be solved with automated systems. Provides technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet business requirements. Works with user groups to provide training, resolve questions, assess user needs, and recommend changes. Prepares specifications for system changes. Recommends and initiates systems testing. Acts as an internal consultant within technology and business groups by using quality tools and process definition/improvement to re-engineer technical processes for greater efficiencies. Provides direction and guidance to less experienced staff.: 7+ years of experience in business systems analysis and/or design.

This position is located in St. Louis Basic Qualifications: - 7+ years of experience in business systems analysis and/or design; - 2+ years of experience working on Agile/Iterative project teams - writing user stories, facilitating requirements/discovery sessions, negotiating with users, creating presentations, analyzing and organizing large groups of requirements. Previous consulting experience with a professional services organization would be helpful including a high level of proficiency with PowerPoint and Excel; Experience with Check, ACH or Journal processing, or IBM BPM would be helpful; The Senior Business Analyst, will support the forward movement of business initiatives by partnering with business teams, technology delivery teams and project management teams. The Senior Business Analyst will provide project and day to day activities for multiple business applications that are used to service a brokerage account. These applications include Service Request, Workflow, Image Access and Corporate Request. Specific job responsibilities are included below. • Elicitation and documentation of user stories and business requirements across all stakeholder groups, including: o Participating or leading process discovery sessions o Documenting user stories o Participating or leading Backlog Grooming sessions o Developing and maintaining relationships with technology, sales channel representatives and operations team members o Producing and presenting detailed PowerPoint presentations to communicate application changes o Negotiating solutions that provide the highest business value o Facilitating meetings with stakeholders o Reviewing and approving user stories, business requirements documents, and functional system design documents o Supporting User Acceptance Testing o Additional documentation as needed including: help text, reporting requirements, spreadsheets, etc. o Documenting, tracking and monitoring progress on key activities. • Support activities: o Researching and resolving business application questions (Excellence First) o Leading or participating in business calls to discuss the impact of production issues o Coordinating the resolution of clean-up of production issues o Providing off hours validation and post implementation support • Additional responsibilities: o Facilitating or presenting system changes to sales channels and operations stakeholders o Writing and executing test scripts, when needed o Providing application demos Basic Qualifications: - - 2+ years of experience creating presentations in PowerPoint for senior level managers - Minimum Qualifications: - Experience working as part of an Agile/Iterative team in the role of business analyst, Product Owner or ScrumMaster - Ability to multitask in a highly complex, fast paced environment while being flexible to changing priorities - Must be a self-starter who can figure out how to get things done with minimal direction - Excellent relationship management skills - Excellent planning and organizational skills - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate across organizations, across organizational levels and within a team - Strong influencing, conflict management and negotiation skills - Must be a team player and willing to help others as needed to make the team/release successful Preferred Qualifications: - Previous brokerage and/or financial services experience
