Position : Hardware Test Engineer

Location : Mountain View CA

Duration : 1 year with possible extension

As a test engineer, a solid engineering design background and knowledge of hardware development for consumer products.

You will help define testing requirements, oversee physical engineering design with vendors and work cross-functionally on testing deployment.

You will also work cross-functionally with electrical design, operation and product engineering teams to deliver systems to production.

Additionally, you will need to travel to support engineering builds and ramp to mass production.



Own and drive the development of new factory test stations for Jacquard from initial concept, FMEA, design, validation, through to deployment.

Collaborate with hardware, software, operations, and other teams to understand cutting edge product technologies and defining testing methodologies, algorithms, and coverage requirements.

Work with external engineering teams to enable efficient tester deployments through clear processes, guidance, and automation efforts.

Develop and implement across our contract manufacturers testing best practices, including but not limited to fixture design, validation methodologies, debug procedures, and statistical controls/analysis.

Assist in oversee contract manufacturer and third part test fixture vendor efforts

Minimum qualifications:

BA/BS degree in Engineering, related field or equivalent practical experience.

4 years of industry experience in testing and metrology methods for mass production

Ability to travel internationally up to 20% of the time.

Preferred qualifications:

Strong English communication: verbal and written Strong hardware/fixture debug skills, with basic software debug experience

Understand statistical process and quality control principles and be capable to apply statistical analysis methods to raw data sets Ability to multi-task, and work independently with a hands-on approach to problem solving Experience working with OEMs in both a lab and factory environment Verbal Mandarin language skills a plus
