Job Description:

  • The Software Engineer will work on a balanced team to deliver projects and features to support future CV programs. 
  • The SE will be responsible for working in the full technology stack with a major component being cloud development. 

Key responsibilities: 
  • Define, Design, Develop and Deploy applications/services to support new vehicle features. 
  • Ensure quality, on-time delivery using Agile, test-driven-development principles. 
  • Directly contribute to development activities utilizing Software Craftsmanship/ Clean Code principles, practices and tools. 
  • Assist in setup, configuring, maintaining tools and frameworks that improve developer productivity, code health, and organizational transparency such as automated build, test and code analysis. 
  • Work with Product Manager, Product Designer and Anchor Engineers to shape the technology directions for the OTA Product Line. 
  • Collaborate with a balanced team of developers to deliver projects/features. 
  • Span multiple environments (Vehicle, Cloud, Mobile) to support end-to-end feature delivery. 
  • Collaborate with global, cross-functional stakeholders.

Skills Required:
  • Java development experience with Spring and Spring Cloud frameworks, including Spring Cloud Netflix 
  • Experience in microservice architecture leveraging REST APIs 
  • Experience in Swagger for REST API documentation 
  • Experience with Cloud environments (Azure/Pivotal Cloud Foundry) 
  • Experience with Test Driven Development and Agile Methodologies 
  • Experience with Unit and Integration testing using mocking frameworks 
  • Experience with Software Development tools (Backlog Management, Source Code Management, Test Management, CI/CD) 
  • Git/GitHub source code repository
  • Strong communication skills Familiarity with other common programming/scripting languages (ex. Python) 
  • Experience with iOS/Android development
  •  Pivotal Cloud Foundry certification and/or experience 
  • Development experience in multiple programming environments (Mobile, Vehicle, Cloud) 
  • Experience with Cloud environments (Azure/PCF) 
  • API development, including OAuth2

Experience Required:

  • Pivotal Cloud Foundry certification and/or experience 
  • Development experience in multiple programming environments (Mobile, Vehicle Cloud) 
  • The Connected Vehicle team is focused on extending the service offerings of in-vehicle systems (such as SYNC and SYNC Connect) by working with internal OEM teams as well as multiple suppliers. 
  • We deliver connected vehicle and SYNC services and related features for the business. 
  • This position will focus on delivering services to support OEM Over-The-Air vehicle features.
