Learning Technology Specialist - Auburn Hills, MI

Job Description:

  • The Learning Technology Specialist is responsible for supporting a wide range of e-learning systems and components of the Performance Institute's e-learning infrastructure while ensuring the smooth operation of courseware content and systems. This role will also assist in the resolution of user technical issues. The Learning Technology Specialist works with the Learning Technology Administrator to enhance current systems and design new systems, features and functions. Work with Learning Technology Administrator to: Monitor applications, resolve business related system issues, and ensure eLearning programs are working properly. 
  • Develop ancillary system reports for business partners. 
  • Business support, administration and training for Performance Institute e-learning systems, including: Perception online assessment engine. Saba Centra virtual classroom online. 
  • Comartis online assessment engine. 
  • Courseware Test Center (Sandbox). 
  • Support web-based courseware development (both domestic and international). 
  • Aid in the debugging, testing and troubleshooting of web-based courseware for OEM Performance Institute. 
  • Provide regular communication with web-based courseware developers to keep them informed on system updates, new functionality, features, standards and system issues. 
  • Assist in supporting the process for web-based courseware testing and deployment. 
  • Develop and maintain user documentation and training materials for the use of Performance Institute e-learning systems by trainers and administrative users. 
  • Support dealer hotline in resolving technical issues related to e-learning content and technology strategy. 
  • Proved SharePoint form and workflow expertise as required in support of the LC Operations SharePoint usage. 
  • Participate in the design, development and testing of new e-learning features, functionality or systems as required. 
  • Contributes to other projects as assigned related to the development and maintenance of the LMS. 

Principal Role Overview:
  • The OEM Performance Institute BI & Analytics Solution Consultant will play a key role in our Learning Center Operation Business Intelligence Reporting Team. Responsibilities for this role will include establishing data integrity processes, data models, and building reports using visual tools to dynamically provide intelligent data to corporate and dealer customers. 
  • In addition to providing data to our customers, this role is responsible for partnering with leaders from across the Institute and larger organization to identify and prioritize analytics opportunities, perform analytics in support of business decision-making, and evaluate the ROI of Performance Institute Learning Programs. 

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and identify root cause analysis for data integrity issues.
  • Articulate the structure, components, and relationship of data models.
  • Understand and verify data in the data warehouse tables
  • Review reports to solve production problems applying timely resolutions.
  • Build dynamic reports using visual tools.
  • Develop relationships with leaders and key working partners within the Performance Institute and the Network Development organization. 
  • Understand business needs and analytics capabilities to ensure that appropriate analytics solutions can be developed and deployed
  • Communicate analytics findings and appropriate recommendations to business stakeholders
  • Provide analytics to stakeholders to forecast outcomes and results mitigating risks and capitalizing on opportunities.
  • Gather data and perform deep analysis to make meaningful discoveries and support decision making, working in partnership with specialized skillsets on the BI Reporting Team.
  • Evaluate processes and ROI of initiatives to assess and maximize value

Qualifications:
  • Responsible for establishing data integrity processes, data models, and building analytic dashboards using visual tools to dynamically provide intelligent data to our customers. In addition to providing analytics, this role is responsible for consulting with leaders across Network Development to identify and prioritize analytics opportunities while designing and developing analytic solutions to support business decision-making. 

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Discover patterns and anomalies in data using ad hoc query/visual discovery
  • Articulate the structure, components, and relationship of data models.
  • Understand and verify data in the data warehouse tables.
  • Use data necessary to answer business questions including data from data warehouse, operational systems, Hadoop, and external sources.
  • Troubleshoot and identify root cause analysis for data integrity issues.
  • Document specifications for business intelligence or information technology (IT) reports, dashboards, or other outputs.
  • Build dynamic dashboards using visual tools.
  • Develop relationships with leaders and key working partners in Network Development.  
  • Understand business needs and analytics capabilities to ensure that appropriate analytics solutions are developed and deployed.
  • Communicate analytics findings and appropriate recommendations to business stakeholders.
  • Provide analytics to stakeholders to forecast outcomes, mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.
  • Work collaboratively with extended Dealer Network data experts, manage development efforts with IT, and team members to design and build visual analytic solutions.
  • Train and support the business community users in dashboard queries and usage.
  • Evaluate processes and ROI to assess and maximize value.

Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, statistics, analytics or an equivalent.
  • 4+ years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Proven troubleshooting, problem solving, and analytical skills.
  • 5+ years SQL.
  • Data Engineering, SQL Application 
  • Knowledge and application of dashboard solutions, QlikSense and QlikView.
  • Required proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data visualization tools.
  • Previous Experience working in a dealer operations environment helpful.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with business partners and customers.
  • Able to effectively communicate orally (in person and by telephone) and in writing.
  • Able to multi-task, yet maintain close attention to detail and timeliness of work production is required.
  • Able to work in a positive team-oriented manner with a variety of people.
