The Deloitte Managed Services & Products Development Manager leads a software engineering team that develops a wide variety of critical internal and customer facing applications using technologies providing data analytics, data management, and relevant services for Deloitte's managed-services businesses. This is a hands-on position requiring close interaction with senior management and systems engineering to understand the software requirements to ensure those requirements are met. The team’s applications are essential to deliver and support our cyber managed-services offerings.


The ideal candidate should be coming from a strong development background with recent management/supervisory experience and be able to actively participate in architectural reviews, code reviews, and demonstrate industry best practices.



·         Own end-to-end responsibility of the Deloitte MS&P Cyber software development team; developing talent, managing performance, and planning work assignments

·         Serve as a role model to the team. Adhere to the standards of professionalism and integrity. Ensure all members of the team follow all applicable company policies and procedures

·         Ensure all requirements are met in a timely fashion; balancing development priorities and execution with planning and roadmap development and team needs

·         Actively participate in the product life cycle for new and existing products

·         Lead Agile development activities including sprint planning and management

·         Work closely with product management, technology architecture/engineering/support, internal customers, and MS&P leadership, and other internal stakeholders to document and validate overall requirements

·         Own delivery of system documentation to include design, as-built, engineering, and operations documentation

·         Work closely with project-management to deliver regular reporting and updates

·         Closely facilitate working with our operational team for buy-in into our architectural strategy

·         As needed, communicate with Deloitte clients, partners, and vendors, to promote the interests of our business

·         Keep up-to-date on technology that is relevant to Deloitte's cyber business and actively share that knowledge with other team members and stakeholders



·         BA/BS degree with 5–7 years of development and project management experience

·         Minimum of two years’ experience managing/supervising teams of dedicated developers.

·         Minimum of four years programming experience developing software using C++/Java/JavaScript/C# (or equivalent) within a multi-threaded (preferably Linux) environment

·         Proven track record of delivering new releases/features/projects on time, in budget, and with no major defects

·         Experience with and thorough understanding of Object-Oriented techniques (OOP/OOD)

·         Good experience with TCP/IP and network/application protocols

·         Solid experience working within an agile team and thorough understanding of the software development life-cycle from inception, to testing, deployment and operational turnover

·         Experience with relational databases as well as NoSQL data systems like MongoDB

·         Hands-on experience with the Atlassian tools - specifically Jira, Confluence and BitBucket

·         Exposure to big-data eco-systems - Hadoop, ElasticSearch, Apache Nifi, Kafka & RESTful APIs

·         Exposure to web infrastructure and development technologies/frameworks - Apache HTTP Server, NginX, Javascript, Nodejs, Bootstrap, D3, HTML

·         Familiarity with XML and JSON data formats.

·         Experience mentoring and/or training junior developers

·         Openness to and ability to handle frequent feedback

·         Experience with software testing frameworks, techniques, and tools

·         Personal interest in staying up-to-date on the latest trends and best practices

·         Good team player who can work effectively with peers across functions

·         Highly motivated and ability to drive project success
