JOB TITLE:  Japanese Bilingual Assistant Manager – Sales Planning 

REPORTS TO:  Director, Business Planning

EXEMPT/NON-EXEMPT: Non-Exempt

LOCATION: Torrance, CA

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: None

TRAVEL REQUIREMENT: None

OVERVIEW:

This position is responsible for the communication between supply chain operations at Japan HQ and local U.S. sales functions to create, manage, and project-control the overall sales planning of company’s various product lines.

The company is a major electronics and car electronics manufacturing/trading company.

The position will require a high level of both Japanese and English.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

•           Maintains visibility of incoming information from the Japan HQ and inventory status and alerts the Business Planning Manager of any issues that need to be addressed (including communication with the Japan HQ).  Prepare and lead Supply Chain/Manufacturing/Sales (Seihan) Meeting and discuss with sales team about sales forecast to improve Supply Chain/Manufacturing/Sales (Seihan)  accuracy.   Follows up on incoming shipment from factory and sales order status information to meet monthly sales target.  Update and distributes Daily Sales & Stock data.

•           Maintains IOS plan data, based on information from the Japan HQ and sales forecast discussed between Sales team and Business Planning. Try to keep minimum stock level only and prevent overstock situation.

•           Maintains all master data of products in SAP/APO environment.  Maintains Supply Chain/Manufacturing/Sales (Seihan)  related spreadsheet, such as, Sales Trend Data and Sales Result Report.  Creates new reports with IT.

•           Discuss with sales team and analyze sales data from the U.S. sales result, NPD and customer data. Keep update market and sales trend of the company and competitors to improve Supply Chain/Manufacturing/Sales (Seihan)  accuracy.           

•           Assists Business Management Manager with the Budget Making Process.          

QUALIFICATIONS

3 to 5 years of related experiences preferred

Excellent skills in spread sheet programs, including Microsoft Excel      

Working knowledge with SAP Finance and Controlling Functional Knowledge or SAP Material Management / Inventory Management

Basic skills in Word Processing programs, including Microsoft Word and presentation programs, including PowerPoint
