Tech Leader in NYC is Seeking a Marketing Generalist

Play a key role in the newly created Public Sector Partnerships team that works with public and quasi-public agencies to make Waze an essential part of urban mobility and put carpooling at the forefront of sustainable mobility strategies. As part of the Public Sector Partnerships team you have the opportunity to help make cities around the world better places to live and work. You have a love for creating organized, streamlined processes to make things work better for both internal and external stakeholders. You’re a problem solver and consensus builder. You will be a key part of helping us deliver better services to cities at scale. 

Specific responsibilities include: Coordinate with Head of Public Sector Partnerships and cross-functional teams at Waze to revamp technical documentation for our data sharing program. Coordinate with Head of Public Sector Partnerships and cross-functional teams at Waze to continue to improve the process & materials we provide to onboard and continue to educate CCP partners. Work with Head of Public Sector Partnerships and Regional Public Partner Managers to create a roadmap for the future of CCP and the ways that Waze provides other services to cities including Crisis and Beacons. Support Head of Public Sector Partnerships and cross-functional teams to advance this roadmap. Manage communications and trouble-shooting for smaller data-sharing partners. Identify and recommend leads to Regional Public Partner Managers. 

Must be able to bridge worlds between engineers, data scientists and public sector staff. Proven ability to multitask, analyze opportunities, define successful approaches, and proactively solve problems. Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.

BA/BS in any field or at least 4 years equivalent practical experience, plus at least one year experience in a relevant field. Experience working in the mobility field for a public agency, elected official or private company that works closely with the public sector.

At least two years experiencing working in public sector (ideally in a technology or innovation unit) or in private sector either in consulting or in a role that interfaced with government. Experience creating informational materials that translate technical concepts for multiple audience types.
